Dylan Bandy enjoys a parallel life as a performer and a producer of independent work in opera, experimental theater, and independent film.

A lyric mezzo-soprano, she earned her undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance at the Indiana University Jacob’s School of Music before moving to New York City to study acting at The Barrow Group School.  Then in 2011, she moved to Berlin to continue her vocal studies and to further her experience in international contemporary production.

Dylan has premiered roles in new productions such as “Lionel” in NY Fringe’s Maid of Orleans, “Bronia” in the US Premiere of Moniuszko’s Hrabina, and “Dora” in the World Premiere of The Waiting Room. She has self-produced shows such as the Shut Up Little Man opera  with the International Comedy Film Festival Berlin and Strangers in a Song with the HAU 100 Grad Festival. Her short films have included The Jogger and The Man in the Suit. And she has Assistant Directed at the English Theatre Berlin.

Mezzosopranistin Dylan Bandy fühlt sich sowohl in der Oper, als auch im experimentellen Theater und Independent-Film zu Hause. Ihren Bachelor in Vocal Performance absolvierte sie  an der Indiana University, bevor sie schließlich nach New York ging, um dort ein Schauspielstudium bei der Barrow Group Theatre Company aufzunehmen. Dylan war in den Premieren zahlreicher neuer Produktionen zu sehen, wie Maid of Orleans, der US-Premiere von Moniuszko Hrabina und The Waiting Room .

Zuletzt stand sie u.a. für Kurzfilme wie The Jogger und The Man in the Suit vor der Kamera. Für experimentelle Werke, wie zum Beispiel ihr selbst-produziertes Theaterstück/ Performance-Art-Projekt Strangers in a Song war Dylan zuletzt hauptsächlich in Berlin tätig.
